Basketball Recap: East Providence Comes Up Short

East Providence and La Salle Academy squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but East Providence had to settle for second. They received a blow as they fell 60-44 to the La Salle Academy Rams. The Townies just can't catch a break and have now endured five defeats in a row.

East Providence's loss dropped their record down to 8-11. As for La Salle Academy, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 15 of their last 16 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 20-2 record this season.

East Providence wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 59-34 victory against Johnston on the 12th. As for La Salle Academy, they have also already played their next contest, an 81-56 win against Westerly on the 12th.
