Softball Recap: Make It Six in a Row for Le Grand

Le Grand entered their tilt with Livingston on Tuesday with five consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with six. They came out on top against the Wolves by a score of 4-1. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Bulldogs also won the last time the pair played back in March of 2024.

Ava Avila was a major factor no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out ten over seven innings pitched. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in 20 consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base.

In other batting news, Crystal Manzo was excellent, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Elisa Angel, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run.

Le Grand's victory was their ninth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 20-6. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.8 runs over those games. As for Livingston, their loss ended an eight-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 18-8.

Le Grand has already played their next matchup, a 6-2 defeat against Chowchilla on the 7th. Livingston does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
