Baseball Recap: Make It Four in a Row for Bonita

Bonita won the last time they faced Walnut and things went their way on Thursday too. The Bearcats walked away with an 8-4 victory over the Mustangs. The win was familiar territory for the Bearcats, who have now won four contests in a row.

Daniel Nageer tossed a big game, striking out six batters over 5.1 innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off four hits.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Dominic Garcia, who scored a run while going 2-for-3. Those two hits gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Andrew Sanchez, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.

Bonita kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least ten hits in three consecutive matches.

Bonita's record is now 12-7. As for Walnut, their loss was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-12.

Bonita will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Mustangs: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
