University Prep put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They walked away with a 7-3 win over the Academy for Academic Excellence Knights. That's more bragging rights for the Jaguars, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Connor Byrom looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits.

At the plate, University Prep's victory was truly a team effort as nine different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Randy Pereira, who scored a run while going 2-for-4. Another was Baxter Andersen, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

University Prep always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .567. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .567 or higher every time they've taken the field this season.

University Prep's record is now 3-0. As for Academy for Academic Excellence, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-3.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: University Prep beat Academy for Academic Excellence by a score of 6-4 on Thursday.
