Baseball Recap: Northwest's Undefeated Season over After Five Games

If Northwest was feeling good fresh off their 8-1 takedown of A-D-M last Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Wolves came up short against the Valley Tigers on Monday, falling 7-1. The game marked the Wolves' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Northwest fell to 4-1. As for Valley, their victory was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-1.

Northwest wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 2-1 win against Waukee on the 4th. Valley has also already played their next matchup (against Indianola), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
