Baseball Recap: Seven Rivers Christian Comes Up Short

Seven Rivers Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took an 8-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Oak Hall Eagles. If the Warriors were looking for revenge after losing 15-5 to the Eagles when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Mason Hogue put in work no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run over 4.2 innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Seven Rivers Christian's record now sits at 3-6. As for Oak Hall, the victory got them back to even at 3-3.

Coming up, Seven Rivers Christian will square off against Lakeside Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Seven Rivers Christian is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.9 runs per game this season. As for Oak Hall, they will take on Hawthorne at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
