Basketball Recap: Lawson Comes Up Short

Lawson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 51-37 to the North Platte Panthers, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. While losing is never fun, the Cardinals can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 392nd, while the Panthers are ranked 116th).

Lawson's loss dropped their record down to 8-19. As for North Platte, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 21-5.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: North Platte beat Lawson by a score of 51-37 on Tuesday.
