Volleyball Recap: Meadowbrook Academy's Undefeated Season over After Seven Games + How To Watch

After flying high against Belleview on Thursday, Meadowbrook Academy came back down to earth. The Mustangs fell 3-1 to the West Port Wolf Pack on Friday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Mustangs of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2019.

The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-19, 20-25, 25-23.

ELIZABETH MARSHALL paced Meadowbrook Academy's offense, picking up 16 kills. MARSHALL got some help from IVA FEARON and her 21 assists. MIA LEWIS controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

West Port was led to victory by Keylimar Mejias and Samantha Ramage. Mejias had 16 digs and three assists, while Ramage had ten digs and one assist. That's the most assists Mejias has posted since back in September of 2024.

Having lost for the first time this season, Meadowbrook Academy fell to 6-1. As for West Port, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Meadowbrook Academy will venture away from home to face off against St. John Lutheran at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for West Port, they will head out to take on Lake Weir at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
