Meridian suffers third straight loss at home

Recap: Meridian Lions vs. Harmony Science Academy Tigers
This season hasn't been kind to the Meridian Lions, who are still winless after their ninth match. They took a 37-30 hit to the loss column at the hands of Harmony Science Academy on Tuesday. Meridian lost against Harmony Science Academy in their previous head to head back in December of 2023, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 56-20 score last time.
Crystal Long-Williams was the offensive standout of the game as she scored ten points.
Meridian bumped their record down to 0-9 with that defeat, which was their third straight at home. As for Harmony Science Academy, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-7.
Meridian will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Providence Prep at 6:45 p.m. on Friday. Harmony Science Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
