Recap: Laguna Creek Cardinals vs. Grant Pacers
The Laguna Creek Cardinals waltzed into their matchup on Wednesday with three straight wins but they left with four. They managed a 59-55 victory over Grant. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Laguna Creek's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kj Ramey, who scored 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Adaarion "AD" Strauthers, who scored four points along with eight rebounds and five blocks.
Laguna Creek has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-9 record this season. As for Grant, their loss dropped their record down to 12-9.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Laguna Creek will take on Burbank at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Burbank is looking to tack on another W to their five-game streak on the road. As for Grant, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against River City at 7:30 p.m. River City will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 720th, while Grant is ranked 182nd).
