Softball Recap: Glastonbury Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Glastonbury can now relate to. They fell 9-4 to the Newtown Nighthawks on Monday. The Guardians just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.

Olivia Oliver made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

Glastonbury's defeat dropped their record down to 10-12. As for Newtown, their win was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-6-1.

Glastonbury does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Newtown, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 3-2 victory against Amity Regional on the 4th.
