Metro had already won six in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.2 runs) and they went ahead and made it seven on Wednesday. They put the hurt on the Gateway Science Academy Gators with a sharp 12-2 victory. Considering the Panthers have won four matches by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Metro pushed their record up to 7-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for Gateway Science Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-6.

Metro has already played their next contest (against St. Mary's), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Gateway Science Academy, they are taking a road trip to square off against University City at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday.
