Basketball Recap: Northern Adirondack Takes a Loss

Northern Adirondack was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a blow against the Peru Nighthawks, falling 63-21. While losing is never fun, the Bobcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 614th, while the Nighthawks are ranked 50th).

Peru found their leader in sophomore Reese Duprey, who dropped a double-double with 21 points and 11 rebounds. Duprey's evening made it four games in a row in which she has scored at least 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Maggie Garrow, who posted five points along with 11 boards and four steals.

Northern Adirondack's defeat dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Peru, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 16-3 record this season.

Northern Adirondack does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Peru, they will face off against Potsdam at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
