Gunnison Valley came tearing into Tuesday's game with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.8 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They put the hurt on the North Summit Braves with a sharp 17-2 victory. The result was nothing new for the Bulldogs, who have now won 12 contests by seven runs or more so far this season.

Gunnison Valley's win was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 18-5. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.1 runs over those games. As for North Summit, they are on an 11-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-12.
