Baseball Recap: 11 Straight Home Victories for University Christian

University Christian lost to West Nassau back in April of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Thursday. The University Christian Christians put the hurt on the West Nassau Warriors with a sharp 8-1 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Christians.

Elias Murdock made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and only a hit while striking out nine over five innings pitched. Those nine strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing two bases.

In other batting news, Bubba Crouch was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Bo Wilson, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and two RBI.

University Christian's victory was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-0. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs over those games. As for West Nassau, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. University Christian will welcome Bolles at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for West Nassau, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Baker County at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
