Soccer Recap: Laguna Beach Triumphs

It's playoff time, and Laguna Beach had no trouble coming through when it counted. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Santa Ana Saints on Saturday, sneaking past 2-1. That's two games straight that the Breakers have won by just one goal.

Landon Hutcheon and Max Garner scored both of Laguna Beach's goals, bringing their combined season tally to six goals.

Laguna Beach is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record this season. Santa Ana's defeat dropped their record down to 14-7.

Coming up, Laguna Beach will take on Yucaipa at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. Laguna Beach's last four matchups have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. Santa Ana does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
