Softball Preview: GRACE Christian Eagles vs. Giants Homeschool

Addison Vercellino made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she tossed seven innings while giving up just one earned (and six unearned) runs off 11 hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 4-for-4 with three RBI and one double. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2025.

Meanwhile, Giants Homeschool won against Franklin Academy on Tuesday with ten runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Thursday. Giants Homeschool had just enough and edged out Cary Academy 10-8. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win Giants Homeschool has posted since March 24th.

The team relied heavily on Amelia Mosley, who went 3-for-5 with three doubles, three RBI, and two runs. Olivia Hester was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

GRACE Christian's victory bumped their record up to 10-5. As for Giants Homeschool, the win got them back to even at 8-8.
