Zach Bates Game Report: vs James Buchanan

For the first time in his career, Zach Bates scored a rushing touchdown on Friday. He rushed for 83 yards and one TD, helping propel Newport past James Buchanan by a score of 26-21. Our internal rating system judged Friday's performance as the best he's ever given (but hopefully not for long).

Coming up, Bates and Newport will face off against Camp Hill at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Buffaloes haven't beaten the Lions recently, having gone 0-3 since August of 2022.
