Recap: Sierra Sage Academy/Right Of Passage Rams vs. Mineral County Serpents

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only the Sierra Sage Academy/Right Of Passage Rams walked away with it. They put the hurt on the Serpents with a sharp 54-29 win on Monday. Sierra Sage Academy/Right Of Passage's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

S. Jamice was her usual excellent self, scoring 41 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of W. Mi'Yaire, who scored eight points.

Mineral County lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Caitlynn Sanchez, who scored eight points along with five rebounds and four steals. Another player making a difference was Jayona Kimmins, who scored six points along with eight rebounds and two steals.

The victory made it two in a row for Sierra Sage Academy/Right Of Passage and bumps their season record up to 2-15. As for Mineral County, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-19.

Sierra Sage Academy/Right Of Passage won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Smith Valley at 6:00 p.m. on February 13th. Sierra Sage Academy/Right Of Passage is coming into the match with ten straight wins on the road, so Smith Valley is out to stop a team with plenty of momentum. Mineral County does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
