Softball Recap: Piedmont Highlanders vs. Hayward Farmers

While Piedmont put up plenty of runs on Friday, the same can't be said for Hayward. The Highlanders blew past the Farmers 15-0. The victory continues a trend for the Highlanders in their matchups with the Farmers: they've now won seven in a row.

Miya Fujimoto made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out seven over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with three runs, four RBI, and one triple. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in May of 2024.
