Football Recap: Haltom Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Vudrico Roberson and Khristopher Parks + How To Watch

Haltom lost against Lake Ridge back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Buffalos fell 40-27 to the Eagles.

Despite the defeat, Haltom had strong showings from Khristopher Parks, who rushed for 138 yards and one TD while picking up 7.7 yards per carry, and Vudrico Roberson, who gained 116 total yards and two touchdowns. Parks got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run that went for an incredible 77 yards.

Lake Ridge was led to victory by DeShawn Edwards and Jaiden Cotton. Edwards rushed for 142 yards and a pair of scores on only 13 carries, while Cotton rushed for 153 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 8.5 yards per carry. Those 142 rushing yards gave Edwards a new career-high.

Haltom's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Lake Ridge, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Looking ahead, Haltom will hit the road for the first time this season to take on Boswell at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Lake Ridge, they will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against Richardson at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
