Baseball Game Preview: Lewis County Panthers vs. Hampshire Hawks

The Lewis County Panthers will square off against the Hampshire Hawks at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

On Tuesday, Lewis County didn't have quite enough to beat Summertown and fell 8-7.

Braylon Bean was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one home run and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Brycen McDonald, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Meanwhile, Hampshire suffered their closest defeat since March 22, 2024 on Tuesday. They fell just short of Culleoka by a score of 5-3.

Kameron Nicholson made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI. Cameron Marrisett was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one run.

Hampshire's loss dropped their record down to 17-7. As for Lewis County, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-13.
