Oak Grove came tearing into Tuesday's contest with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 7-4 win over the Petal Panthers. That's more bragging rights for the Warriors, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Brayden Murphy spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered four earned runs on five hits and racked up seven Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Eric Booth Jr. was a standout: he went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Mac McDaniel, who went 1-for-3 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run.

Oak Grove's record is now 17-7. As for Petal, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 17-11.
