Basketball Game Preview: Daphne Trojans vs. Fairhope Pirates

Daphne hasn't had much luck against Fairhope recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Daphne Trojans will be playing in front of their home fans against the Fairhope Pirates at 7:00 p.m. Daphne knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four contests -- so hopefully Fairhope likes a good challenge.

Last Tuesday, Daphne strolled past Robertsdale with points to spare, taking the game 62-46. Given the Trojans' advantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 75th, while the Golden Bears are ranked 324th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Fairhope came up short against Foley on Tuesday and fell 52-43. The matchup marked the Pirates' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Daphne's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-7. As for Fairhope, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-4.
