A Season-Best Performance from Jaidyn Vineyard Leads Coahoma over Littlefield

On Friday, Coahoma got the W thanks in part to Jaidyn Vineyard playing the best football he has all season. Vineyard rushed for 373 yards and six touchdowns while picking up 9.6 yards per carry, and also picked up 76 receiving yards and a touchdown, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. He was no stranger to the big play, cutting upfield on a catch that went for 67 yards.

Littlefield had to have seen this coming; the last time they saw Vineyard it was a similar story. Vineyard rushed for 201 yards and two touchdowns the last time he and the Wildcats duked it out back in October of 2023.

Boyd Cox Goes Supernova in Coahoma Victory

Keeping Vineyard company is Boyd Cox, a fellow Coahoma player. He threw for 302 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 12.1 yards per attempt. He is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as he's now passed for three or more in the last three games he's played dating back to last season.

For the season, Cox has thrown 15 touchdowns (and and only 3 picks) while averaging 267.8 passing yards per game. He's made a big improvement compared to last season: at this point last year, he was only averaging 137.6 passing yards per game.

Wells Came Up Big in Coahoma's 71-70 Win

Another Coahoma player making an appearance on this list is Landon Wells. He picked up 124 receiving yards and a touchdown. He didn't just play on offense: he also forced a fumble and made ten total tackles (2.0 for loss).

This season, Wells has caught 5 touchdowns while averaging 90 receiving yards per game.

Ethan Michalewicz and Co. Win Fourth in a Row

Ethan Michalewicz's big game helped extend Wall's winning streak to four on Friday. Michalewicz was dynamite, rushing for 66 yards and a touchdown. He got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run that went for an incredible 60 yards.

Wall's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-1. Michalewicz will try to repeat (or improve) on that dominant performance when he faces off against Merkel on Friday.
