Baseball Recap: Jefferson Area Comes Up Short

After flying high against Geneva on Thursday, Jefferson Area came back down to earth. The Falcons came up short against the Benedictine Bengals on Monday, falling 13-3.

Jefferson Area saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Devin Salinas, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Jefferson Area's defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Benedictine, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Jefferson Area will challenge Lakeside at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Benedictine, they will square off against Archbishop Hoban at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
