Basketball Recap: Jesuit Takes Down East Bay in a Playoff Battle

Jesuit had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They blew past the East Bay Indians, posting a 78-51 victory. The Tigers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 matchups by 23 points or more this season.

Leading Jesuit to victory were Carter Reins and Tyler Caouette. Reins went 8 of 9 en route to 21 points and six rebounds, while Caouette dropped a double-double on 15 points and 12 boards. The game was Reins' fourth in a row with at least 15 points. Morty Hanlon was another key player, putting up nine points and five assists.

East Bay's loss on Friday came despite strong showings from Lennox Duggan and Lamardea Anderson. Duggan went 5 for 6 on his way to 10 points, while Anderson posted ten points. That's the most points Duggan has posted since back in November of 2024.

Jesuit is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 20-7 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.3 points over those games. As for East Bay, their record is now 16-12.

Looking ahead, Jesuit will square off against Clearwater at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Clearwater has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 200 points over their last three matchups. East Bay does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
