Football Recap: Lawrence Comes Up Short

It was a proper cat-fight when Lawrence faced off against Marcellus on Friday. The Tigers were dealt a 48-8 loss at the hands of the Wildcats. The Tigers have struggled against the Wildcats recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Lawrence's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Marcellus, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lawrence will take on Martin at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Marcellus, they will challenge Eau Claire at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Wildcats will be up against the Beavers' rather soft defense (which has allowed 34.83 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
