Recap: Crete Cardinals vs. Buena Vista
The Crete Cardinals''s game last Friday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They took their match on the road with ease, bagging a 42-0 win over Buena Vista. The high flying offensive effort was a huge turnaround for Crete's seven-point performance the game before.
Leading Crete to victory were Carson Kotil and Oscar Ortiz. Kotil rushed for 75 yards and a touchdown, while Ortiz rushed for 44 yards and two touchdowns. Ty Yeager got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Crete now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Buena Vista, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-9.
Crete will head out on the road to face off against Bennington at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Bennington will be looking to keep their five-game home win streak alive. Buena Vista does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
