Softball Recap: Nokomis Comes Up Short

Nokomis was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the Pawnee Indians, falling 16-2. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Indians this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 6-2 last Tuesday.

Nokomis saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Camryn Engelman, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-2.

Nokomis' defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Pawnee, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-1.

Looking ahead, Nokomis will square off against Ramsey at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Nokomis is facing Ramsey at the right time seeing as Ramsey is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Pawnee, they have already played their next game, a 4-3 victory against Litchfield on the 28th.
