Softball Recap: Aiken Comes Up Short

Aiken was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 23rd straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 12-0 to the Gilbert Indians. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Fighting Green Hornets of the 10-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2016.

Aiken's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Gilbert, their victory was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-1.

While Aiken had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
