Football Recap: Garinger Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Garinger was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They took a 24-7 bruising from the West Mecklenburg Hawks. The Wildcats lost against the Hawks in their previous head to head back in September of 2021, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 49-0 score last time.

Tristan Murphy threw for 36 yards on five of 11 attempts. On the ground, Raquan Kirkland rushed for 32 yards.

Garinger's defeat dropped their record down to 1-9. As for West Mecklenburg, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-9.

As of now, neither Garinger nor the Hawks have any future games scheduled.
