Football Game Preview: Deep Creek Hornets vs. Nansemond River Warriors + How To Watch

Deep Creek hasn't had much luck against Nansemond River recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Hornets are taking a road trip to square off against the Warriors at 7:00 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Last Friday, Deep Creek didn't have too much trouble with Hickory as they won 41-24. The win continues a trend for the Hornets in their matchups with the Hawks: they've now won nine in a row.

Meanwhile, Nansemond River took their contest on Friday with ease, bagging a 40-6 victory over Western Branch. Fans of the Warriors have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 20+ points.

Nansemond River's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Deep Creek, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Deep Creek was dealt a bruising 42-7 defeat at the hands of Nansemond River in their previous meeting back in September of 2024. That game was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Hornets were down 28-0.
