Basketball Game Preview: Spoto Spartans vs. Freedom Patriots

Having just played yesterday, the Spoto Spartans will head out on the road to face off against the Freedom Patriots at 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Freedom took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Spoto, who comes in off a win.

Spoto will head into Tuesday's contest on the come-up: they were handed a heart-breaking three-point loss in their last game, but they sure didn't let that happen against Middleton on Tuesday. Spoto breezed by Middleton to the tune of 68-36. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Spartans have posted since November 29, 2024.

Meanwhile, Freedom lost 62-36 to East Bay on Tuesday.

Spoto's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-7. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.7 points per game. As for Freedom, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-12 record this season.

Spoto might still be hurting after the 58-34 defeat they got from Freedom when the teams last played back in February of 2024. Can Spoto avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
