Basketball Recap: Yantis Comes Up Short

Yantis lost to North Hopkins back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Owls were dealt a 57-28 loss at the hands of the Panthers. While losing is never fun, the Owls can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1460th, while the Panthers are ranked 725th).

Yantis' defeat dropped their record down to 3-17. As for North Hopkins, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 20-7.

Coming up, Yantis will take on Pioneer Technology & Arts Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Yantis will be up against Pioneer Technology & Arts Academy's rather soft defense (which has allowed 51.6 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for North Hopkins, they will venture away from home to face off against Como-Pickton at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
