Plainfield Central won the last time they faced West Aurora and things went their way  on Saturday too. The Wildcats skirted past the Blackhawks  3-1. The  win made it back-to-back  victories for the Wildcats.
 Kaylynn Howe spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on two hits and racked up nine Ks.
 On the hitting side,  Maeve Carlton was  incredible,  going 2-for-4 with one  home run, two  runs,  and two  RBI.
Plainfield Central's win bumped their record up to 8-9-1. As for West Aurora, they have  traveled a rocky road recently, having  lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-8 record  this season.
 Plainfield Central will face off against Yorkville at 4:30  p.m.  on Monday. The Wildcats' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Foxes have averaged an impressive 6.1  runs per game this season. As for West Aurora, they will take on Larkin at 4:30  p.m.  on Monday.
