Baseball Recap: Heritage Christian Comes Up Short

Heritage Christian lost against Roncalli back in March of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Eagles came up short against the Royals, falling 11-1.

Heritage Christian got a good showing from Kellen Compton, who pitched four innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits.

On the hitting side, Heritage Christian saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Colin Kopka, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

Heritage Christian's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Roncalli, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-1.

Looking ahead, Heritage Christian will hit the road for the first time this season to take on Covenant Christian at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Roncalli, they will look to defend their home field on Saturday against Kokomo at 11:00 a.m.
