Soccer Recap: Southside Christian Takes a Loss

After flying high against Greenville Christian Academy last Thursday, Southside Christian came back down to earth. While the 3-3 score might suggest a draw, it was the Wilmington Christian Academy Patriots who were credited with the victory on Friday. The Wilmington Christian Academy Patriots got it done in the shootout by posting five goals to the Southside Christian Warriors' three. Southside Christian were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Wilmington Christian Academy apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in March of 2024.

Southside Christian's loss dropped their record down to 2-2-1. As for Wilmington Christian Academy, they pushed their record up to 8-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Looking ahead, Southside Christian will head out to challenge Community Christian on Tuesday. As for Wilmington Christian Academy, they will host Wilson Christian Academy at 5:00 p.m. on April 7.
