While Cascade's victory against Hempstead wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Cougars skirted past the Mustangs 57-54. The win was just business as usual for the Cougars, who after three games remain undefeated this season.

Cascade's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Hempstead, they are on a 13-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cascade will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Monticello at 7:30 p.m. on the 16th. As for Hempstead, they will welcome Dubuque Senior at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. This will be the Mustangs' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
