Warner and Julian are an even 3-3 against one another since April of 2023, but likely not for long. The Wildcats will head out to take on the Eagles at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Warner will be looking to extend their current nine-game winning streak.

Warner will bounce into Wednesday's game after beating Borrego Springs, who they had gone 1-8 against in their nine prior meetings. The Wildcats were the clear victors by a 23-10 margin over the Rams on Friday. The Wildcats might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine matchups by seven runs or more this season.

Meanwhile, Julian earned a 17-13 win over Guajome Park Academy on Friday.

Lara Arabian was a standout: she went 1-for-5 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Lily Betts, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI.

They weren't the only ones working in the home run department: Julian lost a few balls and finished the game with three home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.

Julian is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-10 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.8 runs over those games. As for Warner, they pushed their record up to 10-3 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

Warner came out on top in a nail-biter against Julian in their previous meeting back in April, sneaking past 12-11. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wildcats since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
