Basketball Recap: Covenant Classical Takes a Loss

Covenant Classical suffered their biggest defeat since February 2, 2024 on Friday. They came up short against the Fort Worth THESA Riders, falling 57-36. While losing is never fun, the Cavaliers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 863rd, while the Riders are ranked 431st).

Jeremiah Krause was nothing short of spectacular for Fort Worth THESA: he went 8 for 15 on his way to 18 points and eight rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Micah Ragsdale, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 rebounds.

Covenant Classical's loss dropped their record down to 10-8. As for Fort Worth THESA, they have been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten matches, which provided a nice bump to their 16-6 record this season.

Covenant Classical didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 63-23 defeat against Abilene Christian on the 7th. As for Fort Worth THESA, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, an 80-68 loss against Red River on the 4th.
