East Ridge and Stillwater are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2021, but likely not for long. The Raptors will take on the Ponies at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

East Ridge is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They blew past Park Center/Columbia Heights/Maranatha 14-4 on Saturday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest victory of the season.

The scorekeeper got an easy start on Friday as neither Stillwater nor Mounds View made it on the board until the fifth inning. The Ponies walked away with a 5-1 win over the Mustangs. Winning may never get old, but the Ponies sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Sullivan Conlin spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on two hits and racked up 11 Ks. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Stillwater's victory was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Joe Fredkove, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. Fredkove has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played. Tanner Kahn also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

Stillwater's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-3. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for East Ridge, the win snapped their losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 5-6 record.

East Ridge was able to grind out a solid victory over Stillwater in their previous matchup back in April, winning 7-3. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Raptors since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
