League recap: Oklahoma Bible scores huge upset over Beaver

The biggest upset of the week belonged to Oklahoma Bible, who took down 239th ranked Beaver, 43-42.

Fairview extended the longest winning streak in A District 1 this week by beating Turpin, 54-6. This was the team's fifth consecutive win.

Kaleb McDonald was the best wideout in the league this week as the Dusters lost to the Trojans. McDonald racked up four receptions for 93 yards. Austin Ingalls helped Beaver's passing attack out by catching one ball for 38 yards.

Brandon Calwonsen made the biggest impact on defense this week as Fairview bested the Cardinals. The 5-foot-8 sophomore grabbed two sacks.

Ryan Nash was the most productive running back in the league this week. In 32 carries, he ran for 156 yards as Beaver lost to Oklahoma Bible. Heath Thomas also contributed to the rushing game with 18 yards on the ground.

Grant Nightengale put up the best numbers through the air as Chris Cayot's team topped Turpin. He finished with nine completions for 171 yards and three touchdowns. Nightengale's favorite target this week was Bryce Kippenberger, who caught two passes for 79 yards.

Scott Dobrinski provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Okeene defeated Hooker. He completed 10 passes for 145 yards and two touchdowns and also ran for 99 yards. Dobrinski's favorite target this week was Hunter Miles, who caught three passes for 55 yards.

The Yellowjackets' Nightengale and Michael Christopher have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading A District 1 in both passing and receiving yards. Nightengale has thrown for 1218 yards this season, while Christopher, a 6-foot-1 receiver, has 25 catches for 269 yards. Mike Mcvay's team's Nash leads the league in rushing yards with 424.

A big matchup in the league this week will be when Fairview takes on the Bulldogs. At the moment, the Yellowjackets are in second, while Hooker is in fourth.

There should be lots of points scored when Fairview and Jacob Kreamer's team face off this week. The top two offenses in the league, the Yellowjackets comes in having scored 232 this season, while the Bulldogs have scored 165. Fairview scored 54 points last week as it beat Mario Mendoza's team.

Texhoma made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 4,556 from 5,943. They were able to move up in the ranks after a 42-6 victory over Mooreland last week.
