Waldron had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 36.5 points) and they went ahead and made it five on Friday. They claimed a resounding 51-0 win over the Tekonsha Indians. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as the Spartans just coasted through the last quarter.

Seth Williams was his usual excellent self, throwing for 147 yards and three TDs on only 12 passes, while also rushing for 31 yards and one touchdown. Carmen Kurtz was Williams' top target, picking up 43 receiving yards and one score, while also rushing for 63 yards and one TD.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Waldron was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 225 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 213 rushing yards in seven consecutive games dating back to last season.

Waldron's victory bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Tekonsha, their loss dropped their record down to 0-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Waldron will challenge Lenawee Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Tekonsha, they will square off against North Adams-Jerome at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Indians are facing the Rams at the right time seeing as the Rams are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
