Basketball Recap: El Paso Homeschool Skates Past Job Corps with Ease

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask El Paso HomeSchool). They blew past the Job Corps Titans 42-8 on Monday. The squad ran away with 33 points in the first half and mostly just sat on those to pick up the victory.

El Paso HomeSchool got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Lisa Lawson out in front who almost dropped a double-double on 15 points and nine rebounds. Addy Wolfram was another key player, putting up eight points and 12 rebounds.

The victory (which was El Paso HomeSchool's third in a row) raised their record to 3-1. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 14.7 points per game. As for Job Corps, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Coincidentally, El Paso HomeSchool and Job Corps will both be playing Varsity Opponent the next time they take the court. El Paso HomeSchool will head out to face Varsity Opponent at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, while Job Corps will host them at 5:30 p.m. on January 14, 2025.
