Basketball Recap: Unity Christian Academy's Victory on Wednesday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Unity Christian Academy had won two straight games and Vincent Allen did his part to make it three on Wednesday. The Unity Christian Academy Phoenix blew past the Illinois Lutheran Chargers, posting a 100-25 win thanks in part to Allen, who went 13 of 19 en route to 26 points and five steals. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in steals.

The team also got some help courtesy of Mason O'Neal, who went 7 for 14 on his way to 16 points and three blocks. The contest was his fifth in a row with at least ten points.

Unity Christian Academy pushed their record up to 14-6 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 96.7 points per game. As for Illinois Lutheran, they are on a 14-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-12.

Unity Christian Academy has already played their next game, a 113-42 win against Islamic Foundation on the 24th. As for Illinois Lutheran, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 66-26 loss against Gardner-South Wilmington on the 24th.
