Baseball Game Preview: Rockcastle County Rockets vs. Danville Admirals

Rockcastle County hasn't had much luck against Danville recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Rockets will face off against the Admirals at 6:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Rockcastle County fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against Garrard County on Monday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Golden Lions by a score of 4-3.

Zeke Fain made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. Phoenix Pittman was another key player, getting on base in two of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.

Meanwhile, after soaring to ten runs the game before, Danville was a bit more limited in their match on Monday. They came up short against Madison Southern, falling 11-1.

Danville saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Nathan Doyle, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one RBI.

Danville's loss dropped their record down to 21-9. As for Rockcastle County, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-13.

Rockcastle County couldn't quite get it done against Danville in their previous meeting back in March as they fell 6-3. Can the Rockets avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
