Baseball Game Preview: Millersport Lakers vs. Miller Falcons

The Millersport Lakers will challenge the Miller Falcons at 5:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Millersport's hitters haven't had much luck over their past three contests, but Wednesday's matchup will give them a chance to turn things around.

Millersport managed to slip by Grove City Christian the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Lakers came up short against the Eagles on Monday, falling 12-2.

Nicholas Yingling made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, one run, and one double. Keagan Wiseman was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Miller hadn't done well against Trimble recently (they were 0-5 in their previous five matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The Falcons walked away with an 8-3 win over the Tomcats.

Bryce Dorsey was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Noah Toth, who went 1-for-2 with four RBI and one double.

Miller's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-8. As for Millersport, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-8.

Millersport got the 'W' in their previous meeting on April 8th against Miller by a conclusive 12-4 score. Will the Lakers repeat their success, or do the Falcons have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
