If Indianapolis Shortridge wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Indianapolis Washington, they should've done a better job of containing Roosevelt Franklin. The Indianapolis Washington Continentals managed a 62-57 victory over the Indianapolis Shortridge Blue Devils on Thursday for which the team can thank Franklin, who dropped a double-double with 23 points and ten boards. That makes it four consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Indianapolis Washington's points.

Camryn Brewer was another key player, going 6-for-13 to rack up 14 points and six rebounds. What's more, he posted three assists, the most he's had since back in December of 2024.

Several Blue Devils players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Gavin Lowery, who put up 16 points along with five boards and four steals. Another player making a difference was Elijah Wilson, who earned 19 points in addition to five rebounds and three steals.

Indianapolis Washington's record is now 9-11. As for Indianapolis Shortridge, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-14.

Indianapolis Washington wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 77-62 loss against Marion on the 22nd. As for Indianapolis Shortridge, they have also already played their next matchup, a 70-51 defeat against Avon on the 27th.
