Volleyball Game Preview: Elmwood-Murdock Knights vs. Pender Pendragons

The Elmwood-Murdock Knights will square off against the Pender Pendragons at 9:45 a.m. on Saturday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Elmwood-Murdock had to skate by with only a one-set margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the three-set drubbing they dealt Mead on Thursday. The Knights were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Raiders. The Knights haven't had any issues with the Raiders recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.

The match finished with set scores of 25-9, 25-13, 25-18.

Pender hadn't beaten Tri County Northeast on the road since September 29, 2022 but that history sure didn't bother them on Thursday. The Pendragons put the hurt on the Wolfpack with a sharp 3-0 win.

The final score came out to 25-19, 25-16, 25-20.

Pender's victory bumped their record up to 11-7. As for Elmwood-Murdock, their win bumped their record up to 13-6.

Elmwood-Murdock was able to grind out a solid victory over Pender in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, winning 2-0. Will the Knights repeat their success, or do the Pendragons have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
